Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national secretary Varun Gandhi on Wednesday said he and his cousin-Congress leader Rahul Gandhi-does not belong to the ?same? generation.
?Rahul ji is 10 years older to me. He and I don?t belong to the same generation,? said Varun here.
Varun arrived in Lucknow on Wednesday to visit the flood-hit areas in adjacent Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh.
“I wish to visit the flood-affected areas in the next 2-3 days. I will be interacting with people and make them feel that we will always be there for them through the highs and lows of their lives,? Varun said.
The BJP MP further said that he wants to ?win? confidence of all sections of the society.
?I believe that politics should not be election centric, but poor centric,” Varun said.
