Rajya Sabha disrupted on National Herald case
New Delhi: On the National Herald case, Congress members in Rajya Sabha trooping near the chairman’s podium and raising slogans, which made the Chairmen to disrupt the Rajya Sabha.
Deputy Chairman P.J. Kurien adjourned the house till 11.30 a.m soon after it met.
The protests continued when the house met again, with Congress members raising slogans and calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi a dictator.
“This is the kind of noise that comes in a zoo,” said Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi.
“I am sorry because some members are shouting, which is very unfortunate. We are not able to run the house, important bills are pending. You are failing in performing your duty,” Kurien said before he adjourned the house till noon.
