New Delh : Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday put onus on Congress, saying that issues like ‘anti-national’ activities in JNU and Jat quota have existed during the tenure of Congress and the BJP-led NDA government inherited these problems from Congress
Naidu added that there is no question of closing JNU, but ‘anti-national’ activities will not be tolerated. He added that the government is ready to discuss all the problems.
“The government was also ready to discuss the JNU row, Hyderabad issue or reservation, and it was not hesitating to discuss any issue if allowed by the chair,” he said.
The government was “not going to shutdown the Jawaharlal Nehru University”, he said.
There are misconceptions that the university was going to be closed, he said, adding these “are all propaganda”.
