Salman Khurshid threatens Arvind Kejriwal

New Delhi : Alleging that Law Minister Salman Khurshid had threatened him, India Against Corruption (IAC) leader Arvind Kejriwal Wednesday said his words did not behove the minister of a country.

In a tweet, Kejriwal posted that Khurshid had threatened to kill him and said it would be better that the Congress “sensed the anger of people and took some concrete steps against corruption”.

Khurshid, it was reported, had threatened Kejriwal against coming to his constituency Farrukhabad in Uttar Pradesh.

“Killing me won’t help. Kyonki poora desh jaag gaya hai. Ek Arvind marega to 100 Arvind khade honge (The whole nation has awakened… If one Arvind dies, 100 other Arvinds will arise),” Kejriwal tweeted.

Reacting to Khurshid’s comments, Kejriwal told reporters: “Whatever he has said does not behove the law minister… The Congress has lost touch with the country and it is high time the party realized this.”

He also said that Khurshid should realize that his (Arvind’s) life is “not in the minister’s hands but in god’s”.

The activist-turned-politician is seeking the resignation of Khurshid over alleged financial wrongdoing in the running of a trust run by Khurshid and his wife Louise. The minister has denied any wrongdoing.
