Shutdowns ordered by Maoists hit coal production in Jharkhand
Production of coal in Jharkhand is suffering a setback due to the frequent shutdowns ordered by the Maoists.
The rebels had called for a 48-hour shutdown in Bihar, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh on April 06, instilling fear among locals and workers.
Coal traders on April 07 said that stalling business for even a day means delay in production, dispatch coupled with losses incurred by the state.
