Three ULFA militants nabbed in Assam
Guwahati : Three United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) militants, including a woman cadre of the outfit, were arrested by security forces in Assam’s Golaghat district on Sunday, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) launched a massive operation at Borpathar area under Dhansiri sub-division of the district and nabbed the trio militant.
”We launched an operation and arrested the militants belonging to 28th battalion of the outfit,” a senior police official said.
The nabbed militants were identified as Basanta Konwar alias Hirak Gogoi, Anil Baruah and Karabi Phukan alias Bandita alias Maya. They took the arms training in Myanmar in 2008.
