Two injured in an army aircraft crash in Meghalaya

Shillong: On Wednesday, an official said that a microlight aircraft of the Indian Army crashed in Meghalaya. Two army officials, including a pilot, got injured.

defence ministry’s spokesperson Group Captain Amit Mahajan told, “A microlight aircraft of the army aviation corps crashed after its take off from Advance Landing Ground of the Indian Air Force in Upper Shillong”.

The aircraft crashed near the Indian Air Force headquarters of the Eastern Air Command here.

He said that the two army officials who were onboard sustained minor injuries and have been rushed to a hospital for observation.

The aircraft crashed at the Meghalaya government veterinary farm. The army has ordered an inquiry.
