Al Qaeda releases Osama audio

Days after al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden was killed by the US, the terrorist outfit released his posthumous full audio message, said SITE Intelligence Group.

In the 12-minute audio tape, Osama voiced praises for Arab protests and uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia.

“?the group indicated that bin Laden had recorded an audio one week prior to his death, addressing the revolutions and offering advice and guidance,” the US monitoring group said.

Meanwhile, al Qaeda has named Saif al-Adel, an Egyptian, as its ?caretaker? leader post Osama killing.

Once an Egyptian Special Forces officer, Saif is now a top al Qaeda strategist.

The news was confirmed by former Libyan militant Noman Benotman, who has now renounced al Qaeda’s ideology.

Osama, who was killed in Pakistan on May 2 ending an almost decade long manhunt for the world’s most sought after terrorist, is survived by 18 children, having married five times.

Responsible for the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, that killed about 3,000 people, bin Laden was hunted worldwide only to be found nearly ten years later in the Pakistani city of Abbottabad, 60 km north of capital Islamabad.
