Nine killed in Kabul airport firing

At least nine people were killed after a local army officer had opened fire on foreign troops at the Kabul airport on Wednesday.

According to NATO, eight military personnel and one contractor were killed in the Kabul airport shooting.

The gunner opened fire on the NATO troops after an argument on Wednesday, media reports said.

The incident took place within a facility used by the Afghan Air Force at the airport in the capital.

The gunman was also killed while exchanging bullets with security personnel.
