At least 327 people have died and 274 are missing following Saturday’s tropical storm in Philippines that caused flooding in Mindanao island and affected over 100,000 people, Xinhua reported citing an official statement Sunday.

According to Philippines’ national disaster risk reduction and management council (NDRRMC), a total of 327 people have died and 274 are still missing following a tropical storm Washin which has caused heavy downpour and led to massive flooding in some parts of Mindanao island.

Over 100,000 people in the country’s eight cities and 140 villages of 11 provinces have been affected by Washin, said the NDRRMC, in a report issued Sunday morning.
