Indian youth assaulted in Australia

Melbourne : Police registered a case of assault on an Indian youth by four motor cycle-borne teenagers, a local newspaper reported on Monday.

The Dandenong Leader quoted police as saying the 21-year-old Indian while moving towards Sandown Park rail station early morning was manhandled after being asked by the local youths if he was an Indian.

The attackers were carrying baseball bats, an improvised tool used by ruffians in street fighting and racial attacks.

The attackers did not spare even their prey fell to the ground after being hit by wooden bats.

Two passers-by then took the injured to a safer place.
