SM Krishna arrives Australia

India’s External Affairs Minister SM Krishna on his 3-day official visit to Australia arrived here on Wednesday.

The visiting Indian minister will be meeting his Australian counterpart Kevin Rudd during the seventh round of the framework dialogue and later to call on Tourism, Resources and Energy minister Martin Ferguson to know the Australian policy of dealing uranium to others, who have not signed the Nuclear non-proliferation treaty.

Krishna would take up issues on common interests to both the countries and seek maximum cooperation from his host country to sort out the matter.

He would meet some Indian delegations and know their condition in the country.

The minister will also meet Prime Minister Julia Gillard before packing up for India on Friday.
