The chief priest told Kolkata’s The Telegraph that Carla told him to pray for her and she wanted a son.
“I prayed for her and gave her a dhaga (holy thread from the shrine). She tied the thread around her hand and requested me thrice to pray for a son,? he recalled to the paper.
The chief priest said he had been ?very touched? to see Carla lost in prayer. ?I am eagerly waiting to meet the couple again with their son,? he said.
A popular singer and former model, Carla Bruni got married to the French president Nicholas Sarkozy in 2008.
