Stockholm : An international flight carrying 273 people to Karachi in Pakistan made an emergency landing at Stockholm’s Arlanda airport on Saturday after a bomb threat on board, police said.
The pilot of the Boeing 777 returned to surface after being informed by the Canadian police that a passenger on board was carrying explosives, Stockholm police said.
The plane touched down safely at Arlanda airport and was parked at the end of the landing strip as police were prepared to remove the passenger.
The plane was on its way from Toronto to Karachi when the pilot requested permission to land in Stockholm, Arlanda airport spokesman Anders Bredfall said.
