London : London police on Friday arrested a suspect, who allegedly plotted to attack Pope Benedict XVI in London during his ongoing state visit to Britain.
Scotland Yard said they are also questioning five men of North Africa after raids on business houses in central London.
The suspects were hired for street cleaning for a contractor employed by Westminster Council in an area of central London visited by Pontiff on Friday.
However, nothing objectionable articles or any weapon was found from them and their places of work.
Anti-terrorism forces have arrested the five after a tip-off about their suspicious movement.
