Punjab Governer Salman taseer killing: Thousands march in Karachi to support

Karachi : Salman taseer was assassinated in Islamabad by his own security guard, Malik Mumtaz Qadri shot him 26 times with a submachine gun at Kohsar Market, near his home in Islamabad, On January 4, 2011.

Malik Mumtaz Qadri was disagreed with Taseer’s opposition to Pakistan’s blasphemy law.

Rehman told the gathering “We will organise protest rallies from next week, the blasphemy law issue is not just the issue of Pakistani Muslims but of the entire Islamic Ummah,”.

Salman taseer was a Pakistani businessman and politician who served as the governor of the province of Punjab from 2008 until his assassination in early 2011.
