Terrorist outfit Taliban on Monday denied that their leader Mullah Mohammad Omar was killed two days ago in Pakistan.
Afghanistan’s TOLO news said Afghan National Directorate of Security sources said the one-eyed Taliban leader was shot dead two days back while being moved from Quetta to North Waziristan in Pakistan by former ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence) chief General Hamid Gul.
“Mullah Omar was killed on way from Quetta to North Waziristan,” said TOLO.
While there is no official on who killed him, China Central Television (CCTV) said Tehreek-e-Taliban has denied Omar’s killing.
“The reports are baseless. Omar is safe in Afghanistan busy directing military operations,? said Taliban spokesperson Zabiullah Mujahid.
