Youth across India have hailed the bravery of Pakistani girl Malala Yousafzai, who stood up against Taliban edicts banning education; a day after the United Nations instituted ‘Malala Day’ in her honour.
U.N. officials declared Malala Day on November 10, one month after 15-year-old Malala Yousufzai and two of her classmates were shot by the Pakistani Taliban. Malala had been targeted for speaking out against the insurgency.
