Tajikistan thrilled by a powerful earthquake

Dushanbe: A powerful earthquake has shattered Tajikistan. It was measured as 7.2 on the Richter scale, the USGS said.

The epicentre of the quake was 109 km west of Murghob, Tajikistan.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) put the intensity of the quake at 7.0 on the Richter scale.

The quake also shook Afghanistan and parts on northern India, including capital Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir.
