Cotton Council International (CCI), a non-profit organization devoted to the promotion of cotton in India, on Monday announced the third edition of its fashion design contest ? Let?s Design with the theme for this season – ?Naturally in Love?.
This pan India initiative gives aspiring designers an opportunity to showcase their talent and creativity with cotton.
An eminent panel of Indian designers will judge the contest with the regional rounds beginning on January 25 in Bengaluru, followed by January 27 at Kolkata, January 29 at Delhi and January 31 in Mumbai.
Speaking on the occasion, Agnieszka Fijol, Cotton Council International (CCI) Representative (Program Head – India), said, ?For season three we have selected the theme of “Naturally in Love” to show the romantic side of cotton.
?We have received over 700 entries till now and are expecting this season to be much bigger and better. We are pleased to have Zoom on board as our channel partner and distinguished fashion designers as judges.?
The 16 finalists will stay under one roof in a ?Reality House? and will be judged on their execution of various tasks given to them to test their skill, passion and creativity.
The winner will be launched by India?s biggest fashion house Kimaya across all Kimaya stores in India and Dubai.
Speaking on the occasion, Pradeep Hirani, Chairman, Kimaya Fashion Pvt Ltd said, ?We will be delighted to showcase the winning designer?s collection amongst other masterpieces created by eminent Indian and International designers across our stores and further reinforce our endeavour of bringing the essence of art and divinity together in designer couture?.
The eliminations at the ?Reality House? will take place from February 2 to 13 in Mumbai with the contest culminating in a start-studded fashion show on February 14 in Mumbai.
