Gurgaon : The autopsy of Japanese endoscope maker Olympus corporation’s managing director here, found dead in an apparent suicide, was performed and the viscera sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) at Madhuban in Karnal, police said Thursday.

Tsutomu Omori, 49, head of Olympus corporation’s medical equipment business in India, was Monday found hanged outside his apartment here in an apparent suicide, police said.

After the post-mortem examination, the body was handed over to the family members of Omori who reportedly took it to Delhi’s Lodhi Road crematorium for the last rites. Omori’s father Shido Omori and wife Yuko Omori were among those waiting at Lodhi Road’s CGO Complex, where the body was taken after the autopsy.

The second suicide note left by Omori for his family was Thursday opened by police. According to investigation officer Lal Singh, the note, written in Japanese says: “I am leaving all of you at this stage, please take care of yourselves.”

In the first open letter, Omori had written: “I am sorry for bothering you.”
