Anil Kumble elected KSCA President

Bangalore : Former Indian skipper and legendary spinner Anil Kumble began a new career as he was selected as President of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA).

He defeated Srikanthadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar by a margin of 43 votes, official reports said.

On the other hand, former Indian speed-star Javagal Srinath was elected KSCA Secretary..

He defeated former international umpire A.V. Jayaprakash in the election by a convincing margin of 245 votes.

Venkatesh Prasad, Roger Binny and Sadanand Mayya were declared elected as Vice-President.

Kumble and his team, including Binny and Prasad, won most of the seats in the election.

It will be interesting to see how the pack of bowlers, who once had made Indians proud with their bowling, perform as administrators out of the field.
