Indian Commonwealth Games (CWG) gold medalist Krishna Poonia received a fresh challenge from world champion discus thrower Dani Samuel of Australia in a 20000-dollar winner-takes-all match up, reports said.
Poonia replied that she was ready for the challenge thrown at her by Dani and added that she was more focused towards winning the gold medal at the Asian games, reports said.
Both Poonia and Samuel were engaged in verbal duel in recent past and reports said that Samuel was annoyed over Poonia for commenting that she had withdrawn her name from Commonwealth Games due to her poor form than for safety and health concerns.
Samuel had withdrawn her name from the recently concluded CWG citing security and health reasons.
On the other hand, Poonia created history as she won a gold medal in track and field event of CWG since Milkha Singh in 1958.
Poonia bagged a gold for India as she took the top spot in women?s discus, clearing a distance of 61.51 metres.
