Renu Bala bags gold for India in weightlifting

Indian weightlifter Renu Bala won gold in 58kg women?s weightlifting event at the ongoing Commonwealth Games (CWG) here on Wednesday.

The 24-year-old weightlifter lifted 90kg in the snatch and a jerk of 107, thereby rounding off a total of 197 kg.

Australia?s Sean Lee bagged silver with a total of 192 kg, followed by England?s Zoe Smith, who won bronze with a total of 188kg.
