Thursday was a special day for Indians as both the Indian athletes as well Sachin himself brought good news for the entire nation in the field of sports.

The Indian athletes won more medals in the last day of the mega event to ensure that India finish at the glorious second spot in the medals tally of CWG.

On the other hand, Sachin Tendulkar claimed the number-one ranking in the Reliance Mobile ICC Player Rankings for Test batsmen after producing a man-of-the-match performance against Australia in the second Test which ended in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

The 37-year maestro from Mumbai scored 214 and 53 not out in India?s seven-wicket victory which gave Mahendra Singh Dhoni?s side a 2-0 series victory over Ricky Ponting?s men.
