South Africa had made 183 runs with loss of 10 wickets while Pakistan were been all out in 182 runs. There was one moment when Pakistan were needed 19 runs in 55 balls with 6 wickets in hand but South Africa snatched away all 6 wickets when Pakistan was required 1 run to tie the match.

AB de Villiers: I was very tensed during the last overs. We didn’t bat well and we just had a chat in the lunch break and backed ourselves to bowl well. I am proud of this team and we always believe we can stage a comeback. Tahir was great tonight and he is a wonderful performer. We had fun the whole night. Parnell was terrific and hope he continues the same form. Pakistan are a wonderful unit and we should perform consistently to win the series. The two wickets from Tsotsobe was the turning point as he picked up some important ones.

Wayne Parnell is the Man of the Match for his all-round performance

Misbah-ul-Haq: It was really disappointing the way we finished this game. We didn’t handle the pressure well and we need to learn to finish the game quickly. Anything can happen in cricket and we had won a close game against Sri Lanka. We need to keep our focus till the last run, Our bowlers bowled well and our spinners, Afridi and Ajmal bowled brilliantly.
