Media hype creating pressure on players: Vijay Mallya

As the much awaited India-Pakistan semi-final clash draws nearer, media channels are going beserk over the final results of the match and performance of the players on the ultimate day.

Criticizing the extra hype created around the crucial game between the arch rivals that has been blown up to fabled proportions, celebrities posted messages over Twitter.

Indian tycoon Vijay Mallya said that the the hype created by the media houses over the match was unjustifiable as it was exerting extra pressure on the players.

?I can neither understand nor appreciate media hype n speculation on d IND v PAK game Puts pressure on players as if they don’t have enough,? Vijay Mallya said.

Similar thought was expressed by B-town actor Amitabh Bachchan as he tweeted: ?Har Tv channel pe siwaye cricket ke aur kuch nahi chal raha … thoda zyada nahin ho raha ?? Team relaxed rahe, bas yahi dua hai ..!! (All the channels are showing nothing else but cricket, is not it a bit excessive, I wish that the team remain relaxed),? he tweeted.

India defeated three times World Champions Australia in their quarter final round to reach the semi final stage to meet old rivals Pakistan who beat West Indies to book their berth in the final four level of the World Cup 2011.

The match between the two neighboring countries will take place on Mar 30 at Mohali.
