Today’s Weather in Mohali: Clear weather assures uninterrupted cricket

There is good news for all cricket lovers as the sun is seen shining brightly over the Mohali sky after night a thunder shower lashed the city on Tuesday, assuring the match between the arch-rivals to start at scheduled time.

The spirit of crazy cricket lovers was dampened for a while on Tuesday night with rain lashing the city, but the clear weather on Wednesday morning assured that the fans will see their favourite stars from both the sides taking the field at the scheduled time.

The Met department has said that there will clear sky during the match, media report said.

Meanwhile, high profile celebrities are scheduled to arrive in Mohali for this match, which will include Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of India and his Pakistani counterpart Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani.

The PM?s of both the nation are also scheduled to attend a dinner together after the match on Wednesday night.

Besides, Congress chief Sonia Gandhi along with her son Rahul Gandhi are all set to attend the match.

Indian captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has said that all his players are fit to play the crucial semi-final clash against Pakistan.

?Players should not get distracted by the hype around the match,? Dhoni said.

Pakistani skipper Shahid Afridi said: ?It is a big thing for us to play here, hopefully ties will improve.?

Meanwhile, the spirit of cricket has reached its height on Wednesday morning with people on both the sides of the border praying for their team.

Special prayers for the Indian team has been arranged at temples in Chennai, Kolkata among other places on Wednesday morning.

In Pakistan, the government has announced a ?half-day? so that people can watch the much awaited clash between the neighboring sides.

Thousands of Pakistanis will participate in a mass prayer on Wednesday for their team?s victory, Pakistan’s Dawn newspaper reported.

The winners of Wednesday?s semi-final clash will meet Sri Lanka who won the first semi-final match at Colombo last night in the final.
