Opting to bat, skipper David Warner top scored with 81 off 52 balls, hitting six boundaries and five sixes to help Sunrisers post 185/5.
In reply, despite late cameo by David Miller (89 off 44 balls), Kings XI managed only 180/7 in 20 overs.
