IPL 2nd qualifier : DD vs CSK : CSK won by 86 runs to be in final
Murli Vijay’s 113 runs in just 58 balls have opened gate for Chennai Super Kings to be in Final. Delhi Daredevil was all out in 136 runs as they need to chase target of 222 Runs.
In making their fourth final in five attempts, the Super Kings scored the season’s highest total of 222 for five after Daredevils skipper Virender Sehwag opted to field first on winning the toss.
In Delhi Daredevil, Except Jayawardene, no other batsman able to stand against CSK’s sharp bowling and under pressure of big target.
Jayawardene did 55 runs in 38 balls while Warner (3 runs in 7 balls), Sehwag (1 runs in 6 balls) were not able to give good partnership to him in beginning.
In other side, Murli Vijay, who came as opener for CSK, had bat till last bowl. Hussy (20 runs in 22 balls), Raina (27 runs in 17 balls), Dhoni (23 runs in 10 balls) and Brovo (23 runs in 12 balls) did enough and require contribution to Team at M.A.Chidambaram Stadium-Chennai on 25 May, 2012.
Delhi Daredevils has won toss and choose to field first.
Delhi Daredevil was beaten by Kolkata Knight Riders on 1st qualifier match while Chennai Super Kings has beaten Mumbai Indians in Eliminator match.
Delhi Daredevils fully depends upon performances of their batsman as they failed against KKR while Chennai Super Kings has to bowl well to restrict DD’s batsman including Virendra Sehwag and Mahela Jayawardane.
The winner of this match will be qualified to play Final against Kolkata Knight Riders at Chennai.
