Srinivasan likely to be BCCI chief
Mumbai : If plans go right way for N Srinivasan, now Secretary of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), he is all set to become the next president-elect at the BCCI’s 81st Annual General Meeting, scheduled here for Wednesday.
As per BCCI’s rotation policy, it is the turn of south zone, and Srinivasan, belonging the south, takes over the reins of the BCCI next year after the turn of central zone expires.
The BCCI’s general body is also expected to boot suspended Indian Premier League chairman Lalit Modi from his post of vice-president from the central zone with Rajiv Shukla being the front-runner to replace him.
All the incumbent office bearers of the BCCI, including president Shashank Manohar and secretary Srinivasan, are looking to be elected unopposed for another year in the two plus one system of governance adopted by the BCCI.
