Tendulkar pays Laxman a visit
Hyderabad : Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar paid a visit to his former team mate V.V.S. Laxman, who surprisingly retired from international cricket ahead of India’s first Test match against New Zealand that starts here Thursday.
The 39-year-old Tendulkar tweeted on the social networking site that he had dinner at Laxman’s place Tuesday.
Tendulkar tweeted: “Went to VVS Laxman’s house to have dinner. It is always special to meet him. Such a wonderful guy, so simple and down to earth…”
Tendulkar, who will be playing his first Test match since January against Australia, also said they had ice-cream on way to their hotel as well.
“On our way back to the hotel a quick stop to have minus 4 ice cream was a true delight :-)”
Laxman was supposed to play the Test against the Black Caps as his name had been announced in the squad. However, the 37-year-old announced his retirement from international cricket with immediate effect Sunday.
