Hyderabad : New Zealand stand comfortably at 258 for the loss of 4 wickets, at the end of the first day of the second Test match against India, here on Friday.
It was a brilliant century by Tim McIntosh that gave New Zealand a perfect platform to end the day.
He scored a well crafted 102, before getting out to Zaheer Khan.
Tim hit 10 boundaries and an over boundary in his innings.
He was well supported by Martin Guptill who scored 85 before loosing his wicket to Ojha.
The Kiwis has also lost two crucial wickets of Ross Taylor (24) and Brendon McCullum (4).
Earlier, Indian speed star Sreesanth had provided India the much needed start as he picked up the wicket of McCullum early in the innings.
But it was the Kiwis batsmen who dominated the game since then.
Zaheer picked up two wickets while Sreesanth and Ojha shared one wicket each.
J. Ryder (22*) and Gareth Hopkins (0*) remained not out at the end of day one and will commence the Kiwi innings on Saturday morning.
