FIFA president Joseph S. Blatter arrived in Nepal Thursday on a two-day visit during which he will inaugurate the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge Cup at the Dashrath Stadium here.
Apart from hosts Nepal, teams from the India, the Philippines, Palestine, the Maldives and Turkmenistan will feature in the tournament.
This is the first time that a high-level international sports officical has visited Nepal.
Blatter will leave for India at the conclusion of his visit here.
