Global Green Company Bangalore Open announced

New Delhi : The Global Green Company Limited, processed foods division of the US $4 billion Avantha Group, in association with Aircel Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), the official sanctioning body of professional golf in India, on Wednesday declared open The Global Green Bangalore Open 2010.

The championship will be played at the KGA golf course from October 6-9. The Pro-Am will be played on October 5.

The tournament which has been a regular feature on the AIRCEL ? PGTI circuit, will see top stars like defending champion Md. Siddikur Rahman, C Muniyappa, Himmat Singh Rai, Mukesh Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Shamim Khan, Digvijay Singh, Harmeet Kahlon, Sujjan Singh and Chiragh Kumar.

Padamjit Sandhu, Director, PGTI said, ?The Global Green Bangalore Open is now an established event on the Aircel-PGTI calendar, and is keenly awaited by our players.?

The tournament has been conceptualized and organized by The Global Green Company and AIRCEL PGTI, in association with Taylor Made & Sport 18. It will have a total purse of Rs. 4 million.

The venue for the event, the Karnataka Golf Association (KGA), was established in 1973 and is located in the heart of Bangalore city.
