The sixth ICC awards ceremony was held in Johannesburg, South Africa on 01 October 2009. They have announced team of the year also.
Mitchell Johnson (Australia) is been awarded for player of the year, Gautam Gambhir (India) as Test player of the year, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (India) as ODI Player of the Year, Tillakaratne Dilshan (Sri Lanka) as Twenty20 International Performance of the Year.
In other categories, Peter Siddle (Australia) got award for Emerging Player of the Year, Aleem Dar (Pakistan) as Umpire of the Year.
Claire Taylor (England) took award for Women’s Cricketer of the Year and William Porterfield (Ireland) to Associate Player of the year.
New Zealand national cricket team got award for Spirit of Cricket.
