Maria Sharapova exits from US Open

New York : Stylish tennis star Maria Sharapova exited from US Open after loosing at the hands of World number 1 Caroline Wozniacki in the fourth round of Womens Singles.

Wozniacki defeated Saharapova by 6-3, 6-4 margin.

Sharapova reportedly committed lots of mistake in this match as she was unable to match up to her opponents.

She committed 36 unforced errors in the match in comparison to only 10 committed by Wozniacki.

Sharapova had won the US Open in 2006, but since then her performance at the mega event has not been very impressive.

But, Wozniacki became the runners-up in 2009.

Meanwhile, World number 2 Roger Federer put up another great show as he defeated Jurgen Melzer to reach the Quarter final of US Open.

Federer defeated his opponent by 6-3, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3.
