Mohammedan Sporting jolted by Kalighat MS in CFL

Kolkata : Mohammedan Sporting received a jolt in their quest to make in first four in the Sahara Calcutta Football League for premier division when they went down by a late goal from Kalighat Milan Sangha (0-1) at their home ground on Tuesday.

Striker Phanom Biswas slotted home into the stoppage time (90+2) for KMS to inflict wound to the black and white squad when everyone had thought the rivals go home with win-win situation and shared points equally.

After barren first session Md Sporting, winner of 1981 edition, had been dominating the proceeding but the goal scored by Biswas through a maze of legs had upset the local fans, who came in hundreds to watch their favourite club’s game on the eve of Bakri Eid.

After the game Md Sporting remained on 19 points from 11 games and KMS jacked up to 20 from 13 plays.
