Nadal- Djokovic meet for US Open title

New York : It will not be a Nadal-Federer final this time as Roger Federer lost to Novak Djokovic in the semi- final clash of the US Open Mens Single event on Saturday.

Novak Djokovic defeated Federer by 5-7, 6-1, 5-7, 6-2, 7-5 margin at the closely fought semi-final match.

Both the players fought hard till the end of the match, before the Serbian world number 3 emerged victorious.

Roger Federer had hit 66 unforced errors in the match in comparison to his opponent who hit only 38 unforced errors.

Even Federer committed 5 Double Faults as compared to the only 3 Double faults of his Serbian opponent.

Meanwhile, Djokovic will face the world number one Rafael Nadal in the final match at the Flushing Meadows.

Nadal defeated Mikhail Youzhny of Russia by 6-2, 6-3, 6-4 margin.

In a completely one-sided match Nadal smoothly defeated his opponent in straight sets in the crucial semi-final clash.

With this victory, Nadal reached the US Open Men?s singles final for the first time in his career.

Earlier this year, the Spanish Tennis star had won both the Wimbledon as well as the French Open titles.
