Our Focus is on Commonwealth Games, Says Sri lankan Boxing Coach

Islamabad/Pakistan ? Sri Lankan boxing coach Jolio Sanlana said that our focus is on Common Wealth Games and players are working hard to prepare for this mega Event.

In an Exclusive interview given during the ongoing joint Camp here at Liaquat Gymnasium, Islamabad Sports Complex he hoped that National players will show their best performance during the Commonwealth games.

?Our players are ?waiting? for these games? with impatient ness and? they? are? working? hard day and night? to? overcome their? imperfection.? Under my coaching I am expecting fantastic results from National pugilists in the mega event?. He said

While answering one question he praises facilities provided by the Pakistani Authorities for the preparation of Commonwealth Games 2010.

?Facilities? provided? to us are excellent while players are? very? happy? to? visit Pakistan and? they? are? learning? more? and? more? from pugilist of host country . We are happy to see that Pakistan has?? best sports facilities in Asia and weather conditions are just like Srilanka.? He said.

Pakistan Boxing Federation has organized International Boxing training camp in Pakistan Sports Complex for the preparations of Common Wealth Games 2010 India. In this camp? 7 countries? were invited ??but till now only Sri Lankan team? have reached Pakistan?? to participated? in the? camp.

Commonwealth games are scheduled to be held in India between 3 to 14 October in which 85 Commonwealth Nations are expected to participate. Srilankan pugilists Tennakoon Mudiyanselage will compete in the 75 kilogram weight category while Jayathi Rajpaske in 64 kilograms. Suranga Mudannayake will be seen in action in the 69 kilogram weight category in the regional mega event of the year.
