Vishwanathan Anand become World Chess Champion for fifth time

Moscow : India’s Vishwanathan Anand defeats Israeli Boris Gelfand in the tie-breaker games here on Wednesday, 30 May 2012.

This is 5th World Chess Championship title for Vishwanathan Anand.

Both had thrilling speed chess decider to decide winner and Anand won by 2.5-1.5 at the Tretyakov Gallery.

Anand will get 55% of total price of $2.55 million which comes around $1.4 M.

Tie-break 2 – Vishwanathan Anand won – 1 to Anand- 0 to Gelfand

Tie-break 3 – Draw – ½ — ½ to both
