Just a month after quitting Congress, former Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy on Wednesday moved the Election Commission of India (ECI) to register his new party.

Son of former Andhra Pradesh chief minister later YSR Reddy, Jagan submitted an application to register his new party as ?YSR Party?.

The application was submitted by Jagan?s uncle YV Subba Reddy.

Jagan had announced of floating a new party after he resigned from the Congress in November end last year.

He paced up the formation of the new party to keep the momentum among his supporters going and also in view of by-elections for Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula assembly constituencies.

Both seats were vacated by him and his mother Vijayalaxmi when they quit the Congress.

Jagan had left the Congress fold, stating that the Congress had humiliated him and his family despite his father did all he could for the party and died for things he loved to do.
