Blasts in Bihar derail goods train

Patna :Train movements have been affected after a goods train fell off its track in landmine blasts triggered by suspected Maoists near Kurnani station under East Central Railway’s Hahjipur -Muzaffarpur section in Bihar on Monday, police said.

At least ten wagons of a freight train fell off the rails soon after powerful blasts disrupting traffic on the section since about 3.30 a.m., Railway Protection Force (RPF) officials said.

The traffic on the section was being partially restored via a diversion route from Hajipur to Muzaffarpur through Sahpur-Patori station.
