About eight passengers were killed and more than 40 others wounded after a packed private bus turned turtled at Janakinagar in Bihar’s Purnia district, police on Monday said.
District police chief N H Khan said the overcrowded bus, heading towards Patna from Saharsa skidded off the road and rolled several times killing eight passengers and wounding more than 40 on Sunday night.
The injured were evacuated to a local hospital, where ten of them got admission and the rest was released after being administered with first aids.
The toll might go up as some injured were in critical state.
