Armed Maoists torch two passenger buses in Bihar

Patna : Armed Maoists burned two passenger buses at Basantpatti Chawk in Bihar’s Sheohar district on Wednesday, continuing the spurt in violence in the state, police said.

About fifty militants, carrying weapons, captured the buses in the wee hours and pulled down the drivers and helpers before torching the vehicles. It is unclear whether the buses were carrying passengers or they were parked at the time of the crime.

No arrests have been made so far in connection with the incident, but police detained some people for questioning.
