Three Maoists killed in Bihar encounter
Security forces shot dead three Maoists in a fierce encounter at Bihar’s Banka district on Saturday, said police.
Acting on a tip off, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Special Auxiliary Police (SAP) personnel jointly raided a house at Majhidih village where around 12 rebels were hiding.
?Security forces asked the Naxals to surrender. Instead, the rebels opened fire on them,? said Acting Superintendent of Police BK Das.
?Three Maoists were killed in the encounter,? he said.
The gunbattle between Maoists and security forces is still on, said the police official.
