Moscow bound foreign Aerofloat flight grounded in Goa

Panaji : A Moscow bound foreign airliner with some 250 passengers and crew on board grounded temporarily after being hit by a flying bird during take off at the airport on Thursday, aviation and police sources said.

They said the Aerofloat airplane suffered substantial damage when the pilot used brakes resulting in bursting of the tyres.

The chartered flight with tourists has been suspended for inspection, they added.
