A four-year-old girl mysteriously died in Goa?s only shopping mall in the capital, but the management has ruled out any foul play or accident causing the tragedy.
The incident occurred on Sunday late evening when the toddler?s parents were shopping in the Caculo mall while she was engaged with other toddlers playing in the play area.
While some say that the girl suddenly collapsed on the ground after which she was rushed to a nearby clinic, others say that she fell from the escalator in the Mall. There is, however, no police complaint regarding the incident.
?She was brought to Vintage hospital at about 11pm in a partially conscious state. She was immediately put on a ventilator, but she died few hours later,? sources said.
Caculo Mall spokesperson Pranita Shah said that the ?death was not accidental.?
She said that there was a commotion in the Mall when the deceased was being carried by her guardian from the pathway of Level 3.
“Our staff promptly assisted the guardian in shifting her to a hospital through the shortest possible route, instantaneously,” Shah said, adding that following a thorough information, it is confirmed and clarified that there has been no accident or fall in the mall premise.
