Somnath (Gujarat) : Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader LK Advani visited Somnath temple here with expelled party leader Uma Bharti on Saturday, thus creating a buzz about her possibility to rejoin the party.
However, Advani declined to comment on Uma’s possible return to the party.
“She (Uma) said she wants to accompany me to Somnath. That’s why she is here,” Advani told reporters.
Advani’s visit marks 20 years of his historic yatra started from Somnath in 1990.
Uma started her own political party-Bharatiya Janshakti Party- after her expulsion from BJP in 2005. However, she resigned from her party early this year.
