Ahmedabad : Former Gujarat Home Minister Amit Shah, arrested in the connection with the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case, got bail on Friday from the Gujarat High Court.
The politician and close aide of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will soon be out of the prison.
“Our basic contention was that he was falsely implicated in the case. He and his family will now get some relief,” his lawyer said.
“He has to go to the Mumbai CBI office once every year, according to the judge,” his lawyer said.
Shah, a former Gujarat minister of state for Home, has been charged with murder, abduction, extortion and conspiracy in the 2005 Sohrabuddin and his wife Kausar Bi’s fake encounter case.
